I would like to redress the balance by thanking him most sincerely for providing splendid weather last evening which enabled us to enjoy the bonfire and fireworks at our local pub. It made for a super evening.I would also like to thank him for taxing me to the hilt - thus reducing my disposable income to a level that I could afford only one pint of ale and was therefore able to drive safely home.I would also like to thank him for his efforts in demolishing family values and the status of marriage - otherwise my current situation might be uncomfortable and financially unrewarding.Finally, I would like to express my appreciation for his policy of a muti-cultural rather than an integrated society which has done so much to promote cultural ghettoes and no-go areas for me to avoid.I will miss him when he finally retires and hands us over to Scottish rule. Yet another piece of legislation that this mob completely fouled up, these blood thirsty hooligans must be joining you in your praise. I cannot recall any of their legislation which has been straightforward and trouble free.I have managed to survive for 69 years without ever seeing a hunt in all its glory - until last week when we encountered a group of about 15 riders and a pack of hounds in a lane near Tenby in Wales. They were not in the full costume - so presume they were out on a practice run - but a magnificent sight nevertheless.We came up behind them and it was fascinating (and a surprise) to see how easily they all pulled onto the verge - including the dogs - to let us drive past safely. Before you start I do not go hunting foxes, but live in the country side and know that what is portrayed in the media is mostly rubbish. It is also not all rich knobs that hunt. So far as I am concerned - the government would have been better employed using valuable parliamentary time on more important issues. andsome Posted November 5, 2006 Report Share Posted November 5, 2006 I fail to see what possible pleasure anyone can derive from chasing an animal to its death, and tearing it to pieces. Sure foxes can be a nuisance, but so can birds and other wildlife. The French and Italians shoot song birds as they migrate. I have no qualms about killing for food, but would not expect a slaughter man to relish his job and do it just for the sheer pleasure. Would these perverts enjoy and approve of their families being used for a similar so called sport? Were the Romans right in putting people into arenas and watch while they were torn to pieces? I too live in the countryside and see no reason for these blood thirsty hooligans to chase animals. If they want to dress up and ride horses, what is wrong with a drag hunt?
