catgate Posted November 14, 2006 Report Share Posted November 14, 2006 I am sure that at this time of the year many WF members are, like us, awash with apples of all types...windfalls, marked ones, pecked ones and even those that you can not give away.Well rather than waste them here is something to do with them.Put them through the juicer and keep the juice in a plastc tub or series of bottles. The pulp can be used as an added extra to the compost heap. Use the juice by adding a cupful to each washing machine load. Add a cup full to each bowl of washing up water. It can be added to the water for floor washing or even car washing. A couple of cupfulls added to a bath is also recommended.I has long been known that the addition of apple juice to washing water, as described above, contributes absolutely nothing to the efficacy of the operation, but it is a wonderfully opportune way of getting rid of it. I'm sure I saw something like that when the wife was dragging me round some Health shop recently? I could be wrong... in fact I'd be amazed if I wasn't...but....I'll have to check now! I suppose this is because most people are right handed, and that would seem to be the most efficacious side in the Northern Hemisphere (which, after all, is the home of the North Sea Ferries).However, as always, there are those who are more versed in the ways of polo boots than I, and so may be someone will let us have a revised view on this. Oxford Press) and found that Pedderson and Trimmlet proposed a correction factor based on degrees North and geographic laterality. The general formula being :- C = I + x/p where x and p are independent functions of the coefficient of rectilinial drag or bias.(It came as something of a surprise to me that Pedderson was only half Scandinavian, whilst Trimmlet and his wife were only married from the waist down.)
