deuces wild
A tradition started by the Pilgrims coming from England to the new United States of America. We set aside today to give thanks for all we have and to celebrate the first day of the new holiday season. Friends and family come together to feast, drink and have a good time.A stuffed 23 pound turkey has been cooking in the oven since 8:30 this morning. Soon our guest will be arriving....we will be serving 16 people for dinner, including our daughters new boyfriend who has been with us since last night. Happy Thanksgiving folks! :)

nellie2
Is it today?? Well may I wish you and all our friends from across the Pond a very happy Thanksgiving day. I went looking for some nice Thanksgiving sayings and found this one, I rather like it :) As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them. ~John Fitzgerald Kennedy

nellie2
Thos has a point... this isn't a thread to discuss politics in, real or imagined! Lets just enjoy it for what it is, an opportunity to wish each other well, wherever we live.
