deuces wild Posted November 30, 2006 Report Share Posted November 30, 2006 More pollution from the cars, fire etc than the tobacco :(Not when you are sitting in a restaurant with smokers.My son comes home after being with his friends (who all smoke, except for him) and the first thing he does is take off his clothes and put them in the dryer to remove the smell.I am an ex smoker. After I quit I realized how bad I smelled from the stuff. I personally cannot stand the smell of it anymore.Ohio (USA) just voted to prohibit smoking in public buildings. Tankus Posted November 30, 2006 Report Share Posted November 30, 2006 Im not a smoker ....but I dont see anything wrong in smoking lounges in pubs ..(like the ol' days) ...no smoking on public transport is a relief though .....I used to use the tube when it was allowed .(25 years back ) .....rank ....probably taken the last 5 years off the end of my life ... Can't stand the smell - not allowed in our house either.I do tend to have a bit of sympathy for the people who do smoke, though. It's difficult to find a smoker-friendly place anywhere these days.If they want all the health issues that go with smoking - then it's up to them - but not if it affects the non smokers. I eventually found that it was the easiest thing to do, when I finally scared myself nearly to death when I coughed up specks of blood when I had a bad cold and sore throat.
