AlanHo
catgate - the more you make posts like this the bigger the problem becomes. You are making us all feel ill and a potential burden on the NHS. Can't you post some Enid Blyton stories or something more innocuous - we all need cheering up not depressing. I bet with this post you have raised andsome's blood pressure yet another couple of notches. You are a bloody sadist.......

I bet with this post you have raised andsome's blood pressure yet another couple of notches. You are a bloody sadist....... Yes you are right. It has nothing to do with any of us. It is not as though we were connected to it in any way, or even as if it were our money. (It has even less to do with some other people who should be more concerned with their own domestic problems.) We should all forget about it, sink back into hypnotic euphoria and let those who are our leaders (and who know what is best for us) get on with the good work. AlanHo
Quote from the articleWe can even rely on the health service to teach our .......................senior citizens how to wear a pair of slippers. This is of great comfort to me - mine keep slipping off - and I need to be able to keep them on when I apply to be taught the soft shoe shuffle dance.I have asked my niece - who is a health worker in Birmingham, to get me a copy of their book of poems. There might be some good limericks in there I can share with members of the Forum.Long live the NHSThey try to cure your illsWith Tango dancing lessonsInstead of all those pillsIf the idea's not appealingMakes you jump and want to screamThey will give you some assistanceWith a trampoline
andsome
Is anyone really surprised at this? It is yet another lunatic idea from the B'liar government. They just keep taking more and more, and wasting it on lunatic schemes. I saw newsnight last night, and several billion pounds a year is being wasted on translating documents for immigrants who don't and won't learn to speak English. On one hand we have B'liar telling immigrants that they should learn to adapt to the British way of life, and integrate, and on the other hand the government is encouraging them to remain insular. A leading Asian was ridiculing the government for their policy on this, and suggested that his fellow immigrants should learn the language or go without benefits etc. A Muslim woman complained that she is isolated from British society because of language difficulties, but her menfolk stop her from learning the language. It should be a requirement of living here that lessons in English are taken. The minister concerned was interviewed by Paxman, and just kept repeatedly refusing to answer the questions, and was only interested in trying to justify this waste. catgate
Should we accept all the lying, dishonest deceit and the crime, the way that our money is wasted, and prisoner not doing their time?Should we be ashamed to be English, and think of our country as home,or should we give in, let anyone in,and give them the freedom to roam?Should we be happy to stand idly byand watch the disbursement of wealth,to act as spectators whilst foreign dictators get our cash that was earmarked for health?Should I try to do something about it,like trying to make a new start,or not even try, curl up ready to die, remaining a boring old fart. gordythegouge
I'm sorry....I'm a bit late in posting to this thread....probably just as well! If you consider the amount money spent on futile projects like the ones in that article....and the fact that there are literally thousands of seriously ill people on waiting lists because they don't have the funds to keep wards open.......well the whole thing is enough to make you sick...or sicker in this case!!!! God help us all!!!
