Irene Posted January 20, 2007 Report Share Posted January 20, 2007 I have had the following error message twice recently. My computer just closed without any warning and rebooted itself. It then said that my computer had recovered from a serious "something" (can't recall the exact word). The Windows dialogue box appeared asking if I wanted to send a report back to Micorsoft, which I did. -pops- Posted January 20, 2007 Report Share Posted January 20, 2007 Little or no point in sending these reports to MS - I've never known anything positive to come from doing so.If you look in the report, though your can sometimes find the error code - something like 0x00000008. If it happens again, make a note of the code and post it here. We may be able to interpret what it is (with the help of Goooooooogle). We may be able to interpret what it is (with the help of Goooooooogle).These reports are supposed to help MS fix problems and prevent them in future releases, the least you can do is send them; no harm will come of it and it only takes a few seconds! I presume that once the necessary information has been gathered from the error screen, there will be instructions on how to resume/reboot?
