Gandalph
Is that because Micheal Parkinson now lives "Darn Sarf"?Dunno catgate, it could be one of the reasons. I can't think why the magazine would publish or even do a poll to find out. It was just a couple of lines in one of the columns.Thinking about it, I wonder if they have done a similar poll to find out who the most miserable people and place is. It could be Heckmondwyke or Liversedge.
andsome
I don't know who thinks up these so called surveys. Has anyone on here ever been asked a question, and later seen a result published? :D
Thos
I don't know who thinks up these so called surveys. Has anyone on here ever been asked a question, and later seen a result published? :DNot me. I guess that they select a proportion of interviewees based on "scientific statistical analysis" and extend the results to the whole population.Thos. -pops-
Am I right in thinking there was/is a large British Oxygen plant in or near Barnsley built to service the requirements of the Sheffield steel industry (when it existed)? If so, they most likely manufactured nitrous oxide (laughing gas) so it ain't Barnsley itself that makes 'em happy, it's all those leaking fumes. :D
