All countries have their good and bad points, but with all these stealth taxes we have endured since Labour came to power, when will we see the benefit of them?.

Public transport in chaos and extremely expensive, NHS in debt, despite throwing billions at it, teaching standards are a joke, and law and order , forget it.

He also claims that he deposited £21000 in an ISA, this is NOT permissible. He then claims that he paid tax on his ISA earnings, ISA earnings are not taxed, but as I pointed out he cannot have one worth £21000 in any case. It's a load of rubbish. None of us like paying tax, but how else can we get services? I particularly don't like Comrade Gordon's stealth taxes, at least he should be honest about them, so much money is squandered, but Bob should get his facts right. There are more than likely other inaccuracies.

And where is this potential emigrant likely to go? He won't avoid taxes (or indeed congestion charges in the long term) and may find a way of life not to his liking.

The point is that he claimed to have invested £21000 in an Isa. How dare he grumble about paying tax on £14000 of this, we all have to pay tax on interest whether we like it or not. If tax is not charged in this fashion, the money will have to come from elsewhere. As I said, none of us like paying tax, and many of us believe that Brown squanders much of the money, however, it would not be a good thing if incomes were further taxed in place of savings, as this would leave those who get huge amounts of interest on investments, but have never done an honest days work in their life, paying even less tax than they do now. We all know who I mean.
