There must be a problem with my computer. :(

It doesn't seem to want to load graphics and images on the forum. I don't understand why it doesn't happen anywhere else.

Can anyone help please? I don't know what to do next. :cray: . I even had to put that last little emotion on by the word, rather than the little image. :(

I just did a preview and it took ages to get back the posting screen. It also said "initialising attachments" where the 'manage attachments' area is. Even now it says at the bottom of the window, " 1 item remaining".

Oh well, here goes. I'll try to post the topic now......

Probably due to server congestion. Emoticons are stored on the server, and every time they are loaded it requires bandwidth to load them.

I imagine there was some congestion on the network at your time of posting, but if you come back later it should be OK.

Clearing your cookies may also help.

EDIT: rong beat me to it. :)

Have you tried clearing them through Crap Cleaner?

Another thought. Have you tried accessing whilst in safe mode to see if the speed is OK. If it is ok then it must be something on your computer slowing things down.

Personally I have never tried going on line in safe mode, is it possible?

Something else learned on this great forum. :D :D

I agree. Chris put me on to it when I was looking for a reason this forum was acting up and it proved to be something on my computer which I was then able to eliminate.
