Now imagine wiping out a disk drive containing an account worth $38 billion.That’s what happened to a computer technician reformatting a disk drive at the Alaska Department of Revenue. I backup to a 500gb external hard drive, where I date them, e.g. C 210307 and D 210307. Since my programs are installed on C and data on D, if there were any problem, I could select either one to restore.I also, because I have 'oodles' of space, I do a full backup each time and I keep 5 or 6 previous backup files before I delete the oldest ones off. ;) Before doing my backup, I run CCleaner, then I check if either drive requires a defrag.That's about it really! :D Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

andsome Posted March 22, 2007 Report Share Posted March 22, 2007 I only keep the C drive backed up on Acronis. My D drive only contains photo's, and these are put onto a CD as soon as they are downloaded from the camera. So no problems there.
