CurlyWhirly
http://www.glumbert.com/media/dolphinI haven't seen such an upsetting video for ages :( Warning: those people of a sensitive nature should avoid watching the video.I can't understand how the japanese people can be so cruel
andsome
Extremely barbaric. I couldn't watch it all. They should have some of their own medicine meted out to themselves. How on earth can a government allow it?
CurlyWhirly
How on earth can a government allow it?Exactly what I thought. What I find upsetting is that the dolphin is a highly intelligent animal. As dolphin meat is eaten over there (which is fair enough), all I'm saying is that they should be killed humanely and not butchered to death. andsome
A similar thing has happened to Whales over the years. Some countries, and I believe that Japan is a forerunner in this, are still whale hunting, and calling it SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH. What a load of BU******. Alan2273
It beggars belief that in a so called civilized society, that sort of barbarism still goes on.
catgate
I saw an almost identical film on TV many years ago about the killing of tuna, even the boats were the same. I am not sure how much difference there is physically between dolphin and tuna from a distance. Could we be getting the same film with a different sound track? Maybe Pat Willener could comment. The Grump
Does this come as any surprise. What about their barbaric behaviour to-wards fellow humans in China before WW2 and the torture and killing of Allied POW's during WW2. The killing of Dolphins in this way is just typical of Japanese culture.
