nellie2
I do... and I find that it is very rewarding, and I don't mean in a monetary sense either... I quite enjoy putting my snippets of information up, I do get quite a few hits now. And every now and then someone leaves me a nice comment which is great because it is easy to get the feeling that you are talking to yourself at times. What is nice is when people you have a great deal of respect and admiration for tell the world that they read your blog... I'm chuffed to pieces that Bill Pytlovany, otherwise known as BillP of Winpatrol fame actually mentioned me in his blog. And then Corrine of Security Garden and Vista Bookmarks popped by and left me a comment today.*Sigh* :)If you do have a blog then why not drop a link in this thread. cozofdeath
Good idea. I don't blog but I enjoy reading techie blogs like your own. I have thought about it several times because I like to review products and keep up on news but usually I end up posting it on a forum or keeping it to myself. Not having the best writing or spelling doesn't help either. Anyway where is a good site to start a blog and how do you become known? Corrine
And then Corrine of Security Garden and Vista Bookmarks popped by and left me a comment today.Well, of course I did! Your "Nellie2" blog has been linked as a "Perennial Favorite" from Security Garden since the beginning. It has also been in my RSS feeds along with Security Ticker and Nick's blog (and a hundred-fifty or so others). But, you know what is really sad? I've been registered here at the Windows Forum almost two years and this is my first post! I had a problem posting after I registered and then tried several different times to reset my password. Apparently it *took* the last time through and I hadn't even realized it because I was able to log in with no problem today. As to Bill Pytlovany, I know from your Blog that you are a fan of WinPatrol too. He certainly is a special person.@cozofdeath, I would suggest trying either a Google Blogger account https://www2.blogger.com/start or a WordPress blog http://wordpress.com/ . Both are free so you can set one up at both sites and experiment with the templates to see what suits your taste best. From my perspective, at least with the free accounts, I have found that there is more flexibility with the Blogger templates. I tried Windows Vista Bookmarks at WordPress but found that there was a rendering problem with IE so went back to Blogger. By flexibility with Blogger, I mean that I was able to turn the K2 Blogger Template into Windows Vista Bookmarks. What I did was create a test blog and worked with the template until I got it the way I wanted.

andsome
I tried it in Photo Bucket following your post. I could upload both as a GIFF or jpeg, but could not make the link work. I could make the link work in my favourites, but not on the forum in My Controls. A very very kind person on the forum has done the job for me again, and is hosting my new photo. I wish I was that clever.
