Government... do we really need it?

Can you imagine what large swathes of the population would say if told that it was their turn to sit in the non elected parliament? There are millions who are incapable of thinking beyond the next episodes of the soap operas or big brother, and trips to the betting shop and pub. I can just imagine them turning up to sit and legislate

As I said, you have not read it. You may well have looked at some of the words.

It is the nature of modern politics to require, and create, non thinking, pliable, soap opera zombies, they con more easily. They accept without thinking. It is surprising though just how much dormant common sense there is in much of society if the opportunity arises to use it.

It is also worth thinking about the fact that the sort of people who make up our court room Juries are the self same people and they are a very mixed bag, who come out with a better average for making the right decision than do our politicians.

I will say again, from a quick scan, there is NO WAY that I would waste time ploughing through such a load of drivel. It is just a load of pie in the sky totally impractical nonsense, and not worthy of more time. It will NEVER happen. Alice in Wonderland would be a better read, and far more practical.

Did you expect anything but that?

You would make a good literary critic for some of our daily papers. They take the same sort of thorough, in depth approach which you seem to favour.
