On a "regular basis" officers will film people arriving in a bid to identify and trace those responsible.

Sergeant Tim Jones said: "We hope law-abiding members of the public arriving at the station will feel reassured by this measure."

I wonder what the reaction of Sgt. Tim Jones and his mates would be if people flocked to Glouster to photograph the police in action doing it.

Stay away from Gloucester !

Organised crime appears to have taken over the place. Miscreants are apparently arriving by the train load from outside the fair metropolis ?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/glouces...ire/6256534.stm

I would be more concerned over the terrorists who are now targetting the UK.

As was pointed out a day or two ago, we are well used to terrorists, having had many many years of American funded Irish terrorism.

You should be totally concerned with the fact that that it was America that triggered all of the current terrorism.

A tad unfair catgate - if you go back into 20th century history your will find UK fingerprints on some of the reasons. Our involvement in the Middle East and the way we left it did us no credit. The USA greedily took over where we left off, made an even worse pigs ear of it and we are all now suffering the consequences.

I blame the bloody Romans , after all , what did they ever do for us ....!

Straight roads, aquaducts, mosaic floors, roman numerals, central heating, proper bridges, stone masonry, good wines, roman orgies - what more do you want to know.

....go back to before april 1979 .............heh ...convienient start date there Deuces .... here' s a read for you

United States foreign policy towards Iran in the last three decades presents two widely contrasting and contradictory perspectives. The dividing line was 1979; up to January 1979. Iran was ruled by the Shah of Iran. Iran was the lynch-pin of United States strategy in the Middle East and South West Asia. As one analyst puts it, that short of nuclear weapons, the United States was willing to provide the latest American military equipment and intelligence sharing to build Iran as the American “regional policeman” in the region. In the United States “Twin Pillar” strategy of building-up Iran and Saudi Arabia as American power surrogates in the region, the preferred American partner was Iran. SAAG

No doubt.

But to say the current rash of Extremist Muslim terrorists is the fault of the United States is utter nonsense and only shows Mr. Catgate's dislike for America. Just a case of p*n*s envy I guess.

I do not dislike America, strange as you may find it, but I must admit to not being too keen on some of its inhabitants, In my youth I thought I would one day like to visit it. I now have no wish to do so, because it seems to me that all the real Americans are mainly on reservations, and from what I have seen of the rest I prefer to stay here. I was with an American company from my early twenties till I retired and so I do have some experience of them. It was often quite a struggle to avoid having to go there on business.

As far as envying pants, or pints or even pony's I can see no logic in it whatsoever , but then...what's new.

The recent nonsense in the UK is entirely due to our erstwhile Prime Ministers fondness to licking part of Dubya's anatomy and getting us drawn into your problems. We have had a growing Muslim population since the late 40s early 50s and generally speaking they were peaceable people and did not go around trying to destroy us, they were part of the community.

All the terrorism in the UK, during the period you go to great lengths to list, was mainly American funded IRA.

All right, but apart from the sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us

A stupid counting system and Latin. :D

I have a wrist watch that has been handed down in my family for countless generations.

It must have originated in Roman times because the watch face has roman numerals.

Does it run on steam? :D
