Our involvement in the Middle East and the way we left it did us no credit. I now have no wish to do so, because it seems to me that all the real Americans are mainly on reservations, and from what I have seen of the rest I prefer to stay here. I was with an American company from my early twenties till I retired and so I do have some experience of them. It was often quite a struggle to avoid having to go there on business.As far as envying pants, or pints or even pony's I can see no logic in it whatsoever , but then...what's new.The recent nonsense in the UK is entirely due to our erstwhile Prime Ministers fondness to licking part of Dubya's anatomy and getting us drawn into your problems. We have had a growing Muslim population since the late 40s early 50s and generally speaking they were peaceable people and did not go around trying to destroy us, they were part of the community.All the terrorism in the UK, during the period you go to great lengths to list, was mainly American funded IRA.
