Nothing much about the person, nothing much about what equiment they are running.I think, from what I see from new member profiles, is that there are not sufficient compulsary questions to answer! This forum has grown up on friendliness and good will. However, there does come a point where just stripping it down to it's bare bones goes to the opposite extreme. I would like to emphasise that if members provide as much profile information as possible it not only helps the specialists so quickly answer any questions posed but also gives information to others of us so we can communicate to our newly joined friends. Do we then not allow them to register?Do we really need to know anything about 'the person' that they can tell us in there own time and not because we require it?If you look at the current poll here the poll reflects what we already have in profiles. Granted that RAM / Graphics Card are the next popular items that are wanted I could add them I guess. If any person does not wish to abide by the wishes of the balance of the members then they should not be given permission to post. They can still log in as guests and browse though! OK, there may be a requirement to provide details to become a member but that stays in the vaults of the organisers, not on any kind of publicly accessible display.It is then up to the member concerned whether he/she wants to divulge any more details.
