Boris
On the back of my hobby of building/upgrading PCs for friends/colleagues, I do a bit of re-cycling/rebuilding of any old redundant parts which arise to produce very basic working machines which are then given to those in the community who can't afford to buy a "proper" PC. I've provided 6 PCs so far this summer. Currently I have 3 machines ready to go out (all P2/P3 with Win 98SE) but my "scrap" box has run out of PC 66, PC100 + PC133 memory. [ I don't get any boards given which take DDR :) ] If anyone has any spare sticks of RAM sitting in a cupboard - I would be most grateful for a PM Thanks
-pops-
Just checked in my box of bits and, surprisingly, I have two sticks of memory, both 256MB DDR and one stick of a really ancient "16MB Memory Module STD 30PIN SIMM (16Mx8)".Haven't a clue where all the other ones have gone as I thought there would be loads in there. Boris
I had exactly the same problem :D - just 2 256MB sticks of PC2100 left.As I fit as much RAM as I can in each "new" PC - the RAM in the box goes down faster than the supply of other components :( Similarly with old AGP video cards - as I replace onboard video with dedicated cards whenever I can, I've just realised that I only have one - 8MB ATI one left :(If you do want any more SIMMs -pops- - I have nearly a shoebox full :)

I wouldn't mind if it was only a few dollars, because its going to a good cause. I will try to find out what kind of rates we will be looking at from the local post office. Boris
Update on this old topicI'm still re-cycling + building :)I've currently got most of the bits for another half dozen basic machines -which will all go on Freecycle, but as usual, I'm lacking in SD-Ram + DDR-Ram + AGP graphics cards .......... so if anyone has any of these going free I'd be most grateful (I'll gladly re-imburse postage costs). Thanks
