It goes from bad to worse.

I think think Kenny Everet's friend Cupid summed it up best with "...And it's all done in the best possible taste."

It is beginning to look as though there were a lot more people involved in the "third way" than ever we suspected.

Does all this have some bearing on why we currently have a Peace Envoy swanning about at the far end of the Med.

More than likely.

No he's there because he had the forethought to get involved in a dispute that would cause a lot of trouble and so need someone to have the well paid job of going over there and sorting it out. It was just a good fortune that the post came up just as he resigned his old one.

far more fun than that ...Cats ...!

from Guidio Fawks

In Scotland the situation is even worse, Wendy Alexander has broken the law, apologised, then lied, immediately been caught lying and is only still in position because Brown fears that if she goes others will be toppled. Westminster hacks are not really focusing on the Scottish aspect yet. Guido is because he believes she will be charged, grasp this, the leader of the Scottish Labour party will face criminal charges based on documentary evidence. Brown is so scared of the domino effect of his protege Dougie Alexander's sister resigning, that he is resisting internal party pressure for her to go.

and

Harman's re-mortgage of £40,000 is an illegally undeclared loan - made against her home's presumably joint mortgage - to her leadership campaign. Technically the loan is in equal part her husband's loan. Her husband is Jack Dromey, the Labour party Treasurer, so he has permitted an undeclared loan to be made to the Deputy Leader of the Labour party, a loan from him. That is prima facie an illegal loan by two of the very highest ranking officials. She broke not only the spirit but letter of the law - in two instances - the loan and the proxy donation.

Guidos way ahead of the press ..... worth keeping an eye on

Scottish daily record

I very much doubt it, GB will look after her. B'liar got away with the things he did didn't he, and so did all the others in the cash for honours scandal. It will all be swept under the carpet again.

THE SNP have accused Prime Minister Gordon Brown of using Wendy Alexander as a "human shield" in Labour's cash donors crisis.

Daily record

It was claimed he talked her out of resigning as Labour's Scottish leader for fear he would have to sacrifice his own party deputy, Harriet Harman.

Record sources reveal Alexander considered quitting yesterday over a £950 illegal donation to her campaign fund. But she was persuaded to tough it out.

It's claimed Brown believes if Alexander resigned over that amount, Labour's deputy leader Harman would have to go as a probe into an illegal £5000 contribution to her own campaign continued.Deputy first minister Nicola Sturgeon said: "Wendy Alexander has lost all credibility and her position looks untenable.

"The only reason she is staying in post is to act as a human shield for Gordon Brown, whose sole priority is not her interests or Scottish Labour - it's to prevent the house of cards collapsing down south."

domino's

Very little about this in the nationals , Gordo's in real trouble over this as he has already admitted that unlawfull acts have been committed , thinking that the firebreak resignation of Watts would finish it.

Harmans toast methinks ..(its her loans that are going to do it )

The police had to prove that they broke the law in that case , this time a crime has been admitted by Gordo, Its just a question of how many committed it .....

Yates of the yards Christmas wish came true .....!

Dig deep enough , and my guess is Levy's name will pop up again (friends of Israel ) ....and apparently ...wait for it ...according to one paper Abraham's wanted a title ..... arf arf

... right up until the next General Election ...

Have the bookies started laying odds yet on when that might be?

I'm not a betting man so I'm not sure

Personally I would expect Brown to leave calling a General Election until the last possible moment in an attempt to 'turn the tide' of bad news that has embroiled his leadership !
