Temperatures went up to 2.7C at around 09.30 this morning and we have been enjoying a bit of a thaw. Still a lot of snow around though and more on the way tonight again. I just can't wait for the spring & summer. I do hope we have a better one than last year.In spite of being 'laid low' with this dratted infection, I have been packing up the contents of my present kitchen, in preparation for the refit. My old granny swore it is good for bad chests when rubbed on in a thick layer and covered in newspaper. I would be very willing to come over and give you some alternative therapy - just as an experiment in keeping abreast of the old methods you understand. I will upload the goose grease to a subsidiary of photo bucket called grease bucket. You can download it from there - load it into the Civic and zoom off to Stafford.Don't forget your camera - I will need evidence that my sacrifice was not in vain. Both of my parents suffered with bronchitis and sadly my sister passed away two years ago with emphysema. I suppose I really should go to the Doc's, but I feel I have been there so many times over the past year, I am reluctant to present yet again!! It's fortunate that I stopped smoking... 22 years ago, or I imagine that I would be in very bad shape by now. The smoking ban in public areas is great for me. I am one of those awful reformed smokers; can't stand the smell or poor air condition it creates. OMG what a moan this has turned out to be!! The ban on smoking in public places is one of the few sensible things that the government has done, although they almost messed up on that with their indecision.
