For short(ish) video clips in AVI, MPG, WMV etc format, I collect them in a folder until there is enough to fill a DVD and then use WinDVD Creator to transcribe them into DVD format.

I ought to add that now DVD blanks are now so cheap, I don't bother doing this - one clip per disk unless it is extremely short.

People can only do their best, if and when they believe that they can offer a solution. Their seems to be an increase of late in people showing annoyance when their problem is not solved right away. :angry:

Sadly, that is the world we live in today. No more do people save for things but they need to get them right now, even if they can't afford them. Here in the States you would be surprised at the number of large new houses occupied by folks in the late 20's and early 30's. Fancy new cars in the drive. Probably in debt up the their ears but they want it all.........now!

Hopefully my kids know better. I taught them both that they have to pay their credit cards off in full each month. If they can't then they cannot afford to buy what they were hoping to buy.

It should also always be borne in mind that nobody has to pay to have a question answered and, likewise, nobody gets paid for responding to questions here. It is entirely voluntary on the part of anyone who takes the trouble to reply.

I try to help where I can but I'm afraid that the list of people who will never get a response from me gets ever longer.

@all:

i didnt meant it that rude, so i appologize for that

and of course i appreciate people who try to help me out, very much actually

but i notice that the amount of people who try to help has significantly decreased the past year: when i joined the forum seemed much more "crowded"...

Glad to see you did not intend to be rude - apology accepted.

I think you will find that the number of people who respond to questions varies from week to week. You are perhaps right that there are less people visiting here than before - but there still plenty of members willing to give a helping hand when they can. Most of us have busy lives and can only get to the computer infrequently - hence fast responses are not always possible. We all need to be a little patient.

I was not able to help you with your problem any more than the suggestion I posted. You may have more luck on other forums with a bigger membership - have you tried any of the specialist video forums - perhaps Google will point you in the right direction.
