Alan2273
A very interesting site Alan, looking through the MP's expenses, I find it very strange that all the Muslim MP's are in the top 30 for claiming expenses. Also that half the MP's claim more than the PM or the leader of the opposition.Having these facts and figures will not change anything as those that abuse there expenses will still do it regardless of what is published, till they get found out and then they will cry I was not doing anything wrong. AlanHo
I see smoke on the horizon.Smoke signals are fine - It's when you can hear the rhymic beat of war drums that it is prudent to take cover.I have not trawled through the site I posted in much detail - but looked at my own MP who does a good job in the constituency and is way down the troughing list. I did notice that Shahid Malik managed to spend £26,000 on stationary and postage plus £95,000 on staffing last year - which seems a tad heavy. Mind you - if you spend that much on stamps, you would need to employ quite an army of people to lick them.

Watchful
Mine's not too bad compared with the others.Looking at some of his 'strongly voted for' issues though, I think he's in the wrong party
CurlyWhirly
I'm amazed at how much MP's can claim for stationery - in my MP's case over £2900 :
