It started here on Friday morning then the wind got up to gale force by five o'clock. By 19:30 we had lost 30 feet of a fence in the back garden and I was doing battle with the elements to save the remaining 90 feet, which I managed to do in the end but it took me two hours in a bitterly cold northern gale with temperatures -3.5 deg C. I had to put the kettle on after I got thawed out a bit. :D You poor thing. The elements were relatively kind to us, when we were having the kitchen refitted. If it had been anything like the recent cold, windy weather it would have been an even worse trauma. Doors were open more often than not!Gandalph, have you started your kitchen yet? We still have snow on the ground from the last storm last weekend which dumped 8 inches of snow on us.I cannot wait for spring to finally come here.
