Aah! Bisto, I remember it smell

Funnily enough I've just finished making some for tonight's dinner. :D

Don't you have anything else with it? Not a very substantial meal. We had lamb steaks. :D

We have mint sauce with our lamb. The bisto was to go with the veg and meat. :D

No Bisto or Mint Sauce, But it went down a treat never-the-less.

Well tonight it was :-

Hot frying pan, with a little olive oil in it, into which went

chopped up home grown leek,,,until almost cooked

a couple of rashers of locally produced lean smoked bacon...until cooked

a couple of skinned and sliced bratwurst

three chopped sun dried toms

followed, when every thing was nicely hot. by a couple of whisked new laid eggs, from neighbours chickens, stirred in until cooked.

This lot was preceded by a healthy portion of cauliflower. (we always eat the veg. first)

???????????? :D

Veg is processed in the gut, protein is processed in the bottom part of the stomach and carbohydrates are dealt with in the upper part of the stomach.

Now if you were a piece of fillet, quietly enjoying being digested n the stomach, you would be most displeased if a carrot came down,, on its way to the gut, and carried you off, would you not? So we try to eat accordingly.

It helps with digestion and gives better assimilation of nutrients, they say..

It may be some thing assimilar.

There is a book. that someone lent us a few years ago ....Stop Bellyaching: Banish Indigestion (Paperback) by Peter Mansfield (Author)....that covered this matter and was very interesting.
