ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
I am not very much into birthdays (or other celebrations), but thank you all anyway. On Saturday a few friends took me out for dinner, and (at my suggestion) we went to Cicada - a restaurant that is very popular with foreigners and Japanese alike, and it serves quite a wonderfully mixed international cuisine.I find it especially interesting as it has a large appetizers / tapas menu, and you can have a whole menu just of a variety of small dishes. It also offers about 100 different Sherrys. From what I remember we hadItalian salami plateSpicy albondigas (Spanish meatballs) in tomato and almond sauceChickpea hummus with grilled Egyptian flat breadMushrooms sauteed with chorizoSpicy Moroccan crab cakes - excellent!Baby spinach with chevre and walnutGrilled asparagus with semi dried tomato & hazelnut salsaFish tagine with cous cousLamb tagine with fried eggplant and corianderAlthough that was more than enough, we had it followed by some very good goat and sheep cheeses. Also we couldn't stop sharing the Moroccan rice pudding and (what a combination) Fennel and apple cake with mascarpone.
