Gandalph
Hi Gang.I wonder if anyone can shed some light on this problem. For the last two day's I have been unable to open any thumbnail's from members posts using Mozilla Firefox v.2.0.0.14, which I have been using since it came out. The thumbnails will open in IE7 no problem. When using Firefox I get an error message up, (see attachment). I have had no downloads or updates. (eg "Help BB Code Help" and "Help Toggle Side Panel") . maybe the staff have been fiddling with the electrons again.Second ."Hi gang" reminded me of a radio show, from way back when Adam was a lad, which had "Hi gang" as its title. It had in it Ben Lyon, Bebe Daniels (Mrs Lyons) and Vic Oliver. The first time I heard it I thought it was not very funny (which it was supposed to be) but after listening to a few shows I altered my view slightly. I became certain it wasn't funny. It was even less funny than ITMA, and that gave it a rating of "dire" in my opinion.

Like you I did not think they were funny at all. Perhaps I was just too young to appreciate their kind of humor or whatever they called it.As mentioned in my post, this problem has just arisen in the last couple of days. I've no doubt someone will come along with a possible explanation.

I feel sure that to toggle side panel thingy has been there for some time. :DAfternoon andsome.Yes, as I said in my post I have no problems opening the thumbnails with IE it's just firefox. I'm working on it. I should also mention that it is only with the Windows Forum as well. Thumbnails on other forums are opening OK.

I have no problem with viewing the thumbnails. It must be something peculiar to your setup. :( If I can help in any way with other tests, please let me know. :)
CurlyWhirly
I also have no problems opening thumbnails using Firefox v.2.0.0.14 on this or other forums.Sorry I can't help further :(
rong
Can you open them by right clicking? by the way I have tried and can't get mine to not open. The other thing is to do a restore to before it happened if you haven't done so.

Gandalph
Irene, Curly and Rong. Thanks for your input.I've already tried a restore, same problem. They were fine up to two days ago, then, problem set in.Other Forums are no problem, it's just Windows Forum that the problem occurs.I'll keep bashing away and see if I can see what it is that has caused it and report back with any cure. Thanks to everyone that has tried to help. CurlyWhirly
Gandalph, have you tried uninstalling Firefox, rebooting the PC and reinstalling it again?Firefox may have somehow got corrupted although I'm not sure if this would help as you say that only Windows Forum is affected
rong
Ok have you tried deleting the cookie and letting it renew.
Gandalph
To bring you all up to speed.I've tried all of the suggestions so far, deleted Cookies, deleted firefox and re-installed and the problem still persists. I've even gone back to Firefox 2.0.0.13 and still no joy Funny how it is only with Windows Forum, all the other forums thumbnails open OK. I'm going to leave things as they are, hopefully they, it, or whatever it is will put itself right as fast as it put itself wrong.Thank you all for you input on the problem. If ever it puts itself right I will come back to this post and let you know what it was. :flowers: :flowers:
Sbrideau
Another thing, you could also try Firefox 3 RC2, I love it :D.As for the problem, I can't think of anything else than what has been named already to help/find the problem. Gandalph
Problem Cured.Last night my Computer started to lose it's desktop settings and even started playing up in Internet Explorer and the BT Browser. Then I started losing my desktop settings, Fonts, Sounds even the desktop wallpaper was changing.I searched the 'puter for an hour and a half looking for something (although I didn't know what) that looked wrong among the usual programs and settings and couldn't find a thing. I ran Avast, Superantispyware, AVG Antispyware and nothing then I ran Stop Zilla and that did the trick, it found Hijacker.IFrame.br (whatever the hell that was), I duly deleted it then ran them all again and they found nothing.Firefox now opening thumbnails, desktop along with other browsers are back to normal.Curly you mentioned in one of your posts that you were having similar problems, could the same apply to you. It would be worth a shot. Many thanks to you all for your input on this one, it is truly appreciated.
