Tankus Posted July 6, 2008 Report Share Posted July 6, 2008 Finally dug my camera out of storage ...while avin a wander as the sun was out .....took these a while back ..then !..Alison Lapper naked on a plinth behind Nelsons column ...Its the empty one thats having trouble being filled Her mother took thalidomide while pregnant ........... she was pregnant while this was made Made a strong statement I thought ....particularly after seeing several interviews on Tv where her personallity made a fairly strong impression ...on me at any rate .... put a bit more life into the sculpture for me ...gave it a bit more meaning .....!Then Ken had another goNow ... this is apparently an 'effin hotel .... I'm not feeling this one for sure ......went under it to get the light...even ..... but its still pants ..... big time ! and derivativethis ones near Churchills bunker ...layers of stacked glass sheets , sort of reminds me of the monolith on Kubricks 2001 ....... now wheres me bone ! think the hotels a poor copy If I had some input to what is going on on this plith ....I would have a statue in respect of the dead troops in Afghanistan , the rest of the plinths have military figure's ..this would fit and be just ..!and in keeping Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
