Why on earth is it necessary to hold it in such a venue in any case? The whole business is obscene. Belatucadrus Posted October 2, 2008 Report Share Posted October 2, 2008 Even the cancellation was cack handed, at this point their chances of getting a refund is nil, so they've blown all the money on a training seminar they've not received and as I understand the training is mandatory so they're going to have to do it somewhere else at another time for which they will be charged. So the head made an ill advised selection in the current climate, then compounded it with a knee jerk reaction because the bad press was giving him the Willies.I'd still love to see the terms of the tender that was put out, it's easy for hotels to say "Oh we could have done it cheaper" after the event, when they've lost the tender, or never having seen it don't know what they're talking about.
