AlanHo
I downloaded and installed it yesterday - it is working OK and I have not had any problems on my Vista desktop..
Irene
I'll be interested to see how you find it over time, Alan. When I just looked at the features, they looked similar to IE7 but with different names.
andsome
Best to wait a few days for other people to find and report problems. :DAlternatively, make a brand new Acronis back up first.
artist
Yep! I'm going to wait a week or so too.

From some of the comments it would seem that my decision to wait for a week or two is wise, particularly as I like Spybot and Spyware blaster. I am saving that page as a precaution in any case. :D

I think I'll give it a try on my spare laptop. I have Spybot installed on there - so I can check what effect it has.

ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
I have just installed IE8, and I don't experience any problem(s).The main advantage over IE7 I find is that when I open a new tab (Ctrl+T), it actually goes to the new tab, instead of staying with the original tab, as stupid IE7 did. I could never understand the "logic" of this...
Alan2273
IE8 is the standard browser for the Win 7 beta OS.I have used it a few times to have a look at it and have experienced no problems.
Dencandy
I've now got the laptop back from the repair shop (new keyboard) so I'll give IE8 a try also.

andsome
No sign of it yet on the little yellow shield in the corner. I am happy to wait a little longer. :D
andsome
I had time to spare as 'Er indoors had a couple of visitors, so I made a fresh backup and installed IE8. I have had to remove it. The INTERNET became painfully slow, and hyperlinks took ages to open up. Log in details were not retained, and all things said I did NOT like it. I will wait until after the first updates have been provided. Thank goodness for Acronis. :D
