AlanHo Posted August 4, 2009 Report Share Posted August 4, 2009 I understand you need to be either a student at a recognised college or a parent of one to qualify.There are 3 or 4 retailers approved by Microsoft to sell certain software at attractive discounts - but your student card details are necessary.It's back to school for you artist I'm afraid. andsome Posted August 4, 2009 Report Share Posted August 4, 2009 I did look at Open Office once, and it did not at that time contain an equivalent to Publisher. This is the program that i use most frequently in Office 2000. I make all my own greetings cards, and it will print four sides of a single fold card happily. It has been suggested that other programs available on line will do similar, but then that is an extra program that I don't at present need. The problem with Open Office is that it takes what seems to be forever to open what were Word documents.(Some nice person on here gave me a copy a few years back - all above board - but recently it came up as not a genuine copy from M/S)I use Paintshop Pro for the pretty stuff........
