Leave of Absence

We are off to Salisbury for 2 or 3 days, starting tomorrow. Should have gone today but herself was poorly yesterday. Re-booking the flight only caost another £120! Basically tomorrows flight is a fresh booking. I don't even get a refund for the unused fuel. I'm sure the airline would say that they couldn't sell our unused seats for today but would they transfer the unused fuel to tomorrows flight?

Know it, we lived in Broadstone, nr Poole, for 12 years before transferring to the North East. Our friend is collecting us from So'ton, As Anne now has a slightly bigger buggy I hope he leaves his golfing paraphania at home to leave enough room in his boot.

If he brings it you could have a round on the way.

Well we're back after a very enjoyable couple of days. Things didn't start off too well as we were originally flying down on Saturday and back last night. However, Herself through a severe Vertigo attack last Thurs night, second dose in 2 weeks. This always knocks the proverbial out of her - vomitting, the trots ( cant spell the correct name) which with her MS problems is always a dsisater. So to be on the safe side I re-booked our outgoing trip for the Sunday ( only an extra £120) and in the event she says she could have made the Saturday flight - I don't think so! Anyway we spent one day at Stourhead which brought back many wonderful memories. Had to take a lot of snaps especially around the grotto as she cannot get through it being confined to her electric buggy now. Did some handyman jobs for Sue & Mike, also did a few strolls around Salisbury when Herself was resting and flew back last night. Things were a little damp to collect the car at the airport (Newcastle) Instead of waiting in shelter up at the airport she insisted on accompanying me down the long stay carpark - WOMEN! So back on duty folks - Keep It Clean!

It is very pleasant to get away for a while, but isn't it wonderful to get back "up North again" where the air really is fresh.

Don't start!................... :P

Catgate is quite right. The air up North is sweeter than the air down South.

Is it to do with all the curry and cheap so called beer that you get through up there.
