doug
Why not use Irfanview? Very user friendly and free, you can instantly resize a picture to any size you want.
catgate
You do need to be very careful with shrinking and then expanding. It is possible to loose a lot of definition, due to decreasing the number of pixels. Once they have gone you have lost theMy advice would be to experiment with Irfan view as doug suggests and also experiment with using Winzip.Just compressing, saving and then reopening them again should show you the effect. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
You need to be clear what you want to reducethe picture size / image size?or the file size of the images?Compressing the image files into a ZIP file is the only way to preserve the original picture size and quality. However, you may not be able to reduce the total file size by a large percentage.Sending large files by email is never a good idea. Email is not a file transfer system, and many ISPs have restrictions on attachment sizes.I share images using Google Picasa, and publishing them on picasaweb.google.com.P.S. regarding ZIP files; I believe that 7-Zip is a free file compression program. Note that Windows XP and up also have their own built-in compression tools.
