Usually, there is a panel to either side of the forum where people's statuses appear but here, I don't know where it is, even couldn't find it when I was looking. I've always assumed it was a Facebook-esque thing where people could let others know what they are doing or thinking, how they are feeling and other stuff or put whatever they like in it. No problem with the smilies.I give in - your instruction is not too clear - but I went to my name at the top of the page, clicked on the arrow to open the drop down menu, chose settings and under general settings looked for some mention of emoticons - but nada - nowt - nuthin there. I ticked all the boxes anyway - but the emoticons remain invisible.At the bottom of this window as I type there is a button for "Post Options". When I click on this a window opens with a tick already there in the "Enable Emoticons" option. So why are the buggers hiding from me.I guess it's either a trip to Specsavers or retirement from the forum - it all seems like too much hard work.It reinforces my motto - if it aint broke - don't fix it.
