Alan2273
Gordon Brown is the best thing that could happen to the Tory party's hopes of winning the next election, so leave him where he is.
Gandalph
Gordon Brown is the best thing that could happen to the Tory party's hopes of winning the next election, so leave him where he is.That is very true. If I were a Labour MP I would not be happy having Gordon Brown fronting my party into an election. I think it is a forgone conclusion to a lot of people that Labour have lost the next one with, or with out Brown at the helm.
-pops-
It's bad news whichever of the parties get in - with or without Brown, Cameron or the other one.

AlanHo
If may be of comfort to some members here that I have rarely managed to vote for the party that won the election. Therefore, I intend to vote labour next time in the certain knowledge that I will get it wrong yet again...............
catgate
My contention has always been that, with our system, whoever wins the election is of little consequence, because politicians alway get into parliament and the public pay the price. Gandalph
I heard on the News at Ten that the uprising has been dealt with. Evidently the MP's that were behind Hoon did not stand up to be counted. Apart from the Labour Party not being able to organise a booze-up in a brewery, they can't even organise a rebellion.
