Belatucadrus
Most of us will have seen this listed in our Windows updates, but how many of us have actually run it ? Just try Run MRT.
-pops-
I have oft seen this tool in Windows Updates but never realised it required an input from me to be operative. Is it a "hiding one's light under a bushel" - like God mode and some other things that Microsoft hides from us?Note; In W7 the run command is accessed by Windows logo key and "r". bludgard
I have seen this in Updates whenever I receive Security Updates from Microsoft.I've never acyually researched it.I figured that the Tool is what Microsoft uses to scan my computer for the latest threat signitures found in the latest Security Updates. andsome
I always understood that after installation it ran on next boot up, but can be accessed and run on command. I am running it at present.
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
MRT.exe runs automatically and immediately after installation by Windows Update or Microsoft Update; you can see it running with the Task Manager.
