Belatucadrus
I'm a long standing Top Gear Viewer from the days when it was about cars right through to the current crew, but is it me or is the format looking really tired ? The presenters clearly couldn't give a toss about cars any longer, the stunts are increasingly childish and regular features like "star in a reasonably priced car" or anything featuring the Stig have been done so often they're boring. On the rare occasions when they get a chance to do something sensible with cars they end up arseing about, with Hammond almost inevitably driving into Mays car. Did I laugh well maybe once but not for the past few years cause it ain't funny.Time for a bit of new blood methinks.
Alan2273
I have to agree with you views on top gear, it has lost its way.I find fifth gear a lot better car program than top gear.
Belatucadrus
The best driving show was Driven on Channel 4 pity it folded and most of the presenters moved on to other to my mind inferior programs.Have to agree though 5th Gear is the best of the current crop, though it too has slipped a bit over the last couple of series. They're better when they stick to what they know and don't try to be Top Gear Lite.
-pops-
The first episode was one too many for me.
Belatucadrus
I thought the feature on the army team today was truly excellent, a few brownie points to the Top Gear team for doing something right.Shows they can do it when they try, more stuff like that and less faffing about next series please. James and Jeremy were trying out Electric Cars and Richard was trying out the new Lamborghini. The special guest was Louis Walsh.
Belatucadrus
No, same show the last feature was on a team of Army trauma patients who were learning to drive off road racers with a view to entering the Paris Dakar. Most were multiple amputees except the driver who took a bit of flack from his team mates as he'd ONLY lost one leg below the knee, which was apparently seen as some kind of miner flesh wound. If you missed it it was truly a gem of an item and the best thing Top Gear has done in many a long year.
