Belatucadrus
2. Benjamin Disraeli ( She didn't like him either) Oh yes she did, largely because he had the gift of the blarney. She didn't like Gladstone who as a god fearing self righteous Liberal convinced of his overwhelming moral correctness tended to lecture her which she really hated. Gandalph
2. Benjamin Disraeli ( She didn't like him either) Oh yes she did, largely because he had the gift of the blarney. She didn't like Gladstone who as a god fearing self righteous Liberal convinced of his overwhelming moral correctness tended to lecture her which she really hated. True, she wasn't keen on Gladstone. But she wash't too keen on Disraeli because he kept putting off the things she wanted him to do. She would argue that the time was right to do what she wanted now. He would argue that she must wait till the Government thought it was right to do what she wanted. For that reason she never really saw eye to eye with him and they had many arguments. Belatucadrus
Watching a recent program on Victoria and her family she came across as a complete termagant who ended up making all her children's lives an unmitigated hell. Seems she loved the sex just couldn't stand the consequences. Some of the things she wrote about her own children just beggared the imagination, most people who had such unpleasant thoughts about their own offspring would have the common sense not to commit it to paper, not our Vickie.
