To anyone who hasn't seen my messages yet, my Grandpa, Doug (x), had a heartache while driving this Tuesday and died. The whole family is in great shock. Grandma, who Grandpa often referred to as Herself on here, will be staying in their house with a new care team, until she decides on a pleasing care home to move into.

I'll be saying a short speech at his funeral later this week.

Any messages you wish to pass on to her, or the rest of the family, please let me know. Any words of sympathy would be greatly appreciated at this time.

Dani

Likewise, doesn't seem that long since he was regailing us with his exploits on the Great North Run. When you get a lot of older types frequenting a forum you have your suspicions when regulars drop away, always a shock when your fears are confirmed.

Give our condolences to the rest of his family, I think I speak for us all when I say he will be missed.

On behalf of the Forum, I would like to express our sincere condolences to Anne and the family at this difficult time.

John will always be remembered here as a larger than life character, and we will miss the presence of such a kind and caring gentleman.

I was sure that I had already posted a reply. I was saddened by this announcement. I always used to send a donation to his charity runs.

You did, it was on another thread here: https://forums.windowsforum.org/index.php/topic/52581-i-must-go-to-the-dentists-more-often/?p=362566
