andsome
I have been toying for a long time with the idea of buying a lighter smaller camera. Now that I have hit eighty, the Nikon D5100 with 18-55mm lens, plus 55-200 MM. lens, all in a heavy bag is just too much to carry long distance. I have bought a Panasonic LUMIX TZ70. I can't believe the zoom on it,it is x 30, giving the SLR equivalent of 25-300 optical zoom which can be stretched to 25-600 with digital, with less loss of detail than many others. Anyone after a smaller easy to carry camera would do well to have a look at this model. I am well pleased so far having had a little play with it. Belatucadrus
Bah humbug, this digital stuff is a fad, just a flash in the pan, it'll never replace 35mm !

catgate
If you get anywhere near Rens , which is a few kilometers south of Koblens and right on the side of the Rhine, you must have a wander around it with you camera. There are some wonderful pictures to be had. We used to go to Kolbern Gondorf on our motorbike fairly often and Rens was always a favourite spot for pictures. Gandalph
See if you can one or two shots of Adolf while you are there. He must be knocking on a bit now.
