doug
This afternoon I was very proud to hand over a cheque for the magnificent sum of £1000 to the Physiotherapy dept. of The Regional Neurological Rehabilitation Unit at Hunters Moor, Newcastle. The attached image shows some of the staff who will use the intended equipment - the Balance Trainer. The girls are, reading from the left: Sue Rain, Sandra Stark and Sharon Smith. As this piece of equipment will cost in the region of £3000, I have left the bank account open (£1 remaining) to gather the remaining interest and for next year's Great North Run.Thank you all for your very generous donations and, just as important, your encouragement, support and stimulation. For new members who may wonder what all this was about I given details on my website at My Webpage or click on the www button below my signature. If anyone requires more information please either e-mail me or PM me.Hope this is now small enough not to overlap the screen.

doug
Thanks folks. Yes Mark am already back in training after a 3 week break to catch up on other things. Have done 3 x 4.5 miles at leasurly 9.5 mins/mile. You know it's getting a bit cold out there now. Will to get measured for some longjohns. Not doing the run in the 2 hours I was aiming for really upset me so I now have a cunning plan - cheat. Next year I'm going to be Paula's pusher
