catgate
My advice (for what it is worth) is to give Linux a try. I switched three or four years ago. I am running Mint and all is peace and joy.

The problem is caused by the old DLL, probably due to DEP. %ProgramFiles%\Logitech\SetPointP\msvcp110.dll You have 2 options (terminate Setpoint.exe beforehand): 1, Remove the file, it will force Setpoint to use the DLL located within Windows del "%ProgramFiles%\Logitech\SetPointP\msvcp110.dll" /s /f /q If it is not updated, you can download the whole package here: www.softpedia.com/get/Others/Signatures-Updates/Visual-C-Runtime-Installer.shtml But I have not got a clue as what to do! Boris
Sorry, but I can't see the problem you have in doing this ! Obviously I can't test it myself, because I don't have a Logitech mouse or use Setpoint. As the man says ......... Ctrl + Alt + Delete to open Task Manager, More details Find Setpoint.exe in Processes, Right click it and select End Task Then use Windows Explorer to navigate to C:\ProgramFiles%\Logitech\SetPointP Right click on msvcp110.dll and press delete

After this deleting "msvcp110.dll" scares me, although it's easy to get to this part of the program package. As I say I'm not as confident as you in dealing with issues such as this but thanks for your help/support Boris. PS The original problem has not reoccurred since Friday so I will leave well alone .
