I don't know what I did... I'm sure I didn't do anything, but my machine all of a sudden froze up on me... totally. I rebooted and it more or less froze again. I have done this goodness knows how many times now. Done a disk repair and a system restore to yesterday, no difference.

Am in safe mode at the moment and VERY stressed!!! Any ideas!!

Can't immediately see any nasties there but a couple of things you can safely disable in msconfig, to check if they are causing problems.

C:\WINDOWS\System32\ctfmon.exe

NvCplDaemon = RUNDLL32.EXE C:\WINDOWS\System32\NvCpl.dll,NvStartup

nwiz = nwiz.exe /install

NeroCheck = C:\WINDOWS\System32\NeroCheck.exe

QuickTime Task = "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime

Have to fly out back soon I hope :(
