Belatucadrus
Ah well, nothing we haven't said before, but anyway here goes the traditional post event whinge. It was even crappier than usual. The winner was near unlistenable, and you know what spectacular tolerance I have for acoustic garbage. As part of the big five we pay a disproportionate amount of the bill for this gibberish (circa £350,000 per annum). Every year the rest of Europe thanks us for our largesse, sneers and gives us the finger. The late great Tel Wogan gave up on it years ago, is it not time Auntie Beeb acknowledged his wisdom and do likewise.
andsome
We last listened to it when we had arrived to live in Holland during my national service. Pearl Johnson and Teddy Carr won it with 'Sing little Birdie.' That was in 1958. I am seriously surprised that you don't lap it up. Why did you listen this year? I didn't, as usual I skipped all the singing malarkey and watched the precis bit where the public were reminded what had happened and invited to phone in. I then watched some of the scoring, not all as watching 44 has beens and never wases trying to grab their last seconds in the camera spotlight is a feet of endurance beyond my frayed patience these days. Apparently the large Israeli girl who won thanked the world for accepting "Different". I can deal with different when it's good, she did something that reminded me more than a bit of Wang Rong Rollins chicken song only without the good bits. Which is difficult as it hasn't got any. Which just proves it's always been crap. not because they got beaten but because something so appallingly twee and schmaltzy wasn't last or disqualified on principle. andsome
You are right. We got married in 1958 and went to a flat just over theGerman border in Holland. It was of course held in the early part of the next year.

Belatucadrus
She'd have done much better if she was transgender, weighed two hundred pounds, had a beard and a willy.
