WET. Fed up with it

Some have had a drop of rain but we are still without. Yesterday it started to spot, but stopped before the paving slabs were wet. The same thing happened a few days ago. Luckily for us, South Staffordshire Water works company have no restrictions yet, as much of our water comes from bore holes. We are managing to keep expensive plants alive, but it is time consuming.

I am rather surprised that we have had virtually no rain for what seems like months . All the hay making and  harvesting has been going on as normal.

We moved over here into the Vale of York several years ago because the man at the Met, Office assured me that the Vale of York was the second driest part of the country. .....It still seems to be holding its claim.

We have one or two big tubs for collections on a rainy day. Being a bungalow we have  more roof space  and hence a bigger rain water collecting  arrangement.
