Andy-2004 Posted June 27, 2004 Report Share Posted June 27, 2004 (can i get this stickied for like the next 2 weeks?)Well guys and galls,First things First, i want you all to go along in single file and give Craig a handshake and a pat on the back,Because thanks to him,Ladies and Gentlemen,Within the next few weeks we should have, not a just sticky topic for folding,Not a separate board,A complete separate set of forums, :D .These Forums will be at a www.???????.co.uk address and with any luck will look the part and do the job all at the same time.I'm hoping to get it all up and running within 2 weeks, but any sooner will be a bonus to every one.I'm Currently trying to recruit some advanced folding pro's to pop in now and out now and again and help out.With any luck i will know just the guy to be able to run us a board for the Linux client as well,and it gets better, As well as being brilliant environment for folding, we will have an off the topic type area to build up a community of "folding friends"And as For Windows Forum Folding TeamWhat i propose we/I do is just Change the name of the team to suit the new forums, therefore it will require no in put form you as the team number will still be the same and that means you will not loose any points at all. I really don't have time to visit and contribute to any more forums. I already spend more that enough time on the computer each day, and get it in the ear from time to time from 'Er indoors. I don't think it will encourage any more members to fold. I believe that it is enough to have a topic devoted to Folding, as part of this forum. I cannot see what could possibly be put onto a SET of folding forums. I think that you need to gauge the feelings of the existing folders before going to all that trouble. Is it worth the bother of setting up a form for about a dozen people from here? I appreciate that you are after members from other forums, but there is an excess of forums to post to already. I have become enthusiastic about folding, because it is for such a good cause, and does not take ANY extra time up at all. I wouldn't want to be going from forum to forum. What do the other folders think?Regarding points, again I don't know how the others feel, but points to me are completely irrelevant. I have no interest in a league table of folders, as I cannot influence it at all, it is entirely dependent on the speed of my computer. When I have a game of bowls, I can bowl well or very badly, and directly influence the outcome of the game.
