After my recent problems with trying to get the spell checker to work with it and, thanks to mark2. have gone back to an earlier version - yes it is faster. Now do I take the plunge and upgrade to the ver 1.0 pr or be a coward for a while and stay put? I stay put for a bit.

I'm just like doug, rather cautious about this upgrade. For me 9.3 works. If it works don't fix it.

Or do you really think we will be ok ??? :(

I have installed this latest PR version and find it excellent.

When I first loaded it, I was told that the Google Toolbar (and something else which I can't remember) was incompatible with this version. No wishing to revert to the old version, I thought I'd put up with the inconvenience until they changed it to accept Google. After using it for a couple of hours, a message came up out of the blue saying my new updates were ready to install. Not knowing what they were, I clicked on the message and, lo and behold, a new Google Toolbar and the other things all waiting to be installed.

Once again, Firefox is spot on! :D

Following 'crowmans response to Doug this afternoon I thought I would be brave and down load it. It downloaded well enough and I then installed a couple of "Extensions".

(I have not yet found Doug's spoll cjiiker though). It seems to work smoothly enough although I feel it is quite a bit slower than 0.9 (it may be that we dialup, paraffin fuelled natives out in the sticks will not get full benefit).

I had had some trouble getting the spull chucker to work. However thanks to mark2, I removed the 1.0pr, installed the 0.9, got the chucker installed then downloaded the 1.0 and finally the spell checker again. Hope you can follow this . The laborious details are in the above thread.
