mark2
The panda and Pc pitstop programs I think are ActiveX and will be in your Downloaded program files folder.you should be able to delete them and on your next visit to the sites, you'll be asked to download the programs again. Boris
You can use Disk Cleanup to delete ActiveX controls and Java applets that were downloaded automatically from the Internet when you viewed certain pages? You can view them by clicking the button.Or view + delete them from here C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files ? gillian7117
Yup, I tried all that lolthe only place where i can see why these sites dont work anymore is by doing what i did in the 1st post.I cant find where to manualy delete these damaged parts to remove them. All the things like disc clean etc have not worked.Could some1 try doing the steps in the 1st post so you can see what i was looking at, to see a list of damaged parts? I dont know how to do a snap shot of the screen im viewing or i would put it on here lolAll i know is that it is doing my head in lolIn the list it says utility and class alot!My leaving message is.......... i wish i was a computer whizz lol
christmascracker
In internet explorer go to tools, internet options, settings, view objects and you should get the same list.Right click on the damaged ones and you should be able to select update. See if that repairs them.Or you can delete them if you wish.

gillian7117
In C/Windows/Downloaded Program Files it doesnt give me the option to delete the damaged files because they are not there to delete. I didnt even know why i cudnt use those sites untill i found that list with the programs in it and in there they are listed as damaged. Thats the problem i have. It only tells me they are damaged in the list but doesnt give me the option to delete them in the list or the other places where they should be to delete them lolxx

-pops-
I see from your other post http://www.windowsforum.org/forum/index.ph...topic=13191&hl= that you have Kazaa installed in your machine. This could go a long way to explain the problems you are having. Kazaa is a well known vector of all sorts of things that most people would wish were not in their computer including viruses, trojans, adware, spyware, in fact, any and all examples of malware. -pops-
No problem sending the message - I've replied.About Kazaa and Kazaa lite. The lite version may well be nasties free itself but, you still have to trust the computer that you get connected to doesn't have an infection of something or other.I have heard stories and seen the results of Kazaa, Napster and similar programs more often than I would care to. :(
andsome
If someone uploads a load of junk to the website on a track, and you download it, you are liable to download that junk onto your computer. An anti virus program is only as good as it's latest update, and if someone has picked up a new virus, then sends it to kazaa, they will happily send it to you. If you want something for nothing, you have to risk the consequences.
