andsome
I use Adaware 1.05 personal. I checked for updates this morning. The definition file installed is SE 1R 16 28.10,2004. When I connected I was informed that definition file, SE 1R 17 05.11.2004 is available. I clicked to download and this appeared to go ahead. However the definition file was still listed as SE 1R 16 28.10.2004. I clicked update again and downloaded again. I did this several times and still the new file was not installed. I rebooted and still only have the old definition file. I downloaded and rebooted again. Still the old file. As anyone else experienced a problem with this update? mark2
When d/loading it, I experienced a message regarding corrupt download twice, however on the 3rd try it downloaded and installed, shows mine as SE 1R 17 05.11.2004 Loaded, Not sure that's any help to you though, do you get any error messages at all ? andsome
No error messages at all. To all intents and purposes everything goes OK, but the old defile is still showing, the new one is apparently not installing.

andsome
I really cannot understand this now. I uninstalled yet again, this time a custom uninstall, and uninstalled EVERYTHING. I deleted the last remaining folder from Windows Explorer, then ran a search from START/SEARCH, and deleted all references to Adaware. I then ran a registry cleaner. After that I downloaded the program from a different mirror site. When installed it showed defiles dated 13th 09 2004. I clicked on update and downloaded the updates, but still have defile SE 1R 16 28.10.2004.

D4\/!d
Yes same thing happened to me last night. I was doing my usual Friday night housekeeping, and Ad-A would not download. I carried on with S&D. Did my cleanup, defrag, and whatever. When I went back to it an hour latter Ad-A worked ok.

This solution of Boris's worked. I had downloaded this file several times and tried various means of installing it into Adadware, including dropping and dragging etc. I will know in future.
