In this anonymous "cyber-world", it can't be for amusement, can it? From my viewpoint, to be amused to have to elicit some reaction from the other party. If the tedious removal of obscenities (or whatever it was) counts as a reaction in the amusement stakes, then we have sadder inhabitants on this planet than I originally thought.
