nellie2 Posted May 21, 2005 Report Share Posted May 21, 2005 I don't think we need to get personal on this, what puts us above people like Sadam is that we do have a code of conduct and recognise a persons basic human rights (regardless of their crimes).Sometimes the line that we draw can be a bit fuzzy... especially if we feel strongly about it.My personal opinion is that Sadam deserves all the riducule that he gets... but it isn't going to bring back the people that he murdered and it isn't going to make right the terrible things that he did. If anything it takes the focus away from all that.Saddam is going to get his just deserts and although he can never truly pay for what he was responsible for in this life..... I can't believe that the powers don't realise this - they do! They know there will be a backlash from the Muslim community (or parts of it) so what is on their hidden agenda?
