Damo Posted June 19, 2005 Report Share Posted June 19, 2005 What is everyone reading at the moment and what books do you suggest we all read?At the moment I'm reading 'Red Dragon' By Thomas Harris - Much better than the film!Books I've recently finished reading are:'Omerta' by Mario Puzo - Another excellent read by the author of 'The Godfather''Digital Fortress' By Dan Brown - Bought on the hype of the Da Vinci Code, Only this one is better!'Jonny Got His Gun' By Dalton Trumbo - Read this book about 10 times now, simply amazing! I highly recomend the whole series to any level of reader. andsome Posted June 20, 2005 Report Share Posted June 20, 2005 At the moment I am part way through a book of short stories by Stephen King. I have read most of his books. I am also a James Herbert fan. I have also read quite a few books by Anne Rice. The Da Vinci code by Dan Brown was also excellent. Leslie Thomas is another favourite, as of course is Douglas Adams. catgate Posted June 20, 2005 Report Share Posted June 20, 2005 The two books I would recommend are both less than easy reading, but are very, very rewarding.The first is a slim volume called "Age of Reason" by Thomas Payne, and the second is much fatter and rejoices under the name of "The Penguin History of Europe" by J. I read everyone of his as soon as they come out. One completely different book from his usual was FLUKE, a very unusual theme and thoroughly enjoyable.
