andsome
Does Everest show the CPU temperature anywhere? I cannot find it. I can find the hard drive temperatures, but have that info anyway from HDD Life.
Scarecrow Man
Yep. in 2.0 it's under: Computer > SensorThis shows Motherboard, CPU and HD temperatures, as well as Case Fans, and voltages.
-pops-
In mine if you click on Computer then Sensor you get temperature readouts.Note - what you see displayed as details very much depends on the motherboard concerned Boris

On the screen you are referring to there are 2 temperatures for the GPU namely GPU and GPU ambient. The ambient temperature is always less than the other one, is there a reason for this?By the way I didn't even know that Everest showed GPU temperatures till I saw your post!
-pops-
On the screen you are referring to there are 2 temperatures for the GPU namely GPU and GPU ambient.???? Not on mine. There's only one CPU temperature. It could be the first is the figure inside the core and the ambient the temperature the one picked up by the motherboard sensor that sits under the CPU. -pops-
I feel a comment I made in another (unrelated) thread may be useful hereDon't be tempted to take the side off your computer thinking that it will cool it better. It could have exactly the opposite effect to what you want because the airflow may be directed away from where it's required. If you feel you have to remove the side, ensure you have a BIG external fan blowing toward the case. By that I mean a room fan, not a titchy computer one.
andsome
How do you get the sides off? :D :D :D :D
trackrat
Andsome if your version of Everest does not show the CPU temperatures there is a newer version out (2.1) which will show them.

-pops-
Ooooopps - my Everest was only a Snowdon. I have installed the latest version and do get the GPU temperatures - and more. What I wrote about the two figures may well apply though. expertec
I've got v2.01 and under computer>sensor it only showes the HDD temp and nothing else. :confused:It probably depends on what sensor is installed, and setting in the BIOS.
